I'd like to meet:

Chuck Taylor!love the shoes man! Hero Potential! This is Jack, my nephew. I have called him 'Rebub' because of his likenesses to his father, my brother 'Bubba' also Jack. But he may just out Bubba the Bubba. While sitting in the Sanctuary of my daughter's school, now in it's premier season, for dedication, Jack (1 1/2) not too quietly proclaimed, 'outside'. His mother, a commanding spirit herself, stood up and carried Jack 'outside'. Not pretentious, just Jack. The rest of the afternoon, I observed him having the same effect on most of the adults who thought that they were taking care of him. And he totes a 'wet willie' like a pro. He seems to watch people and their actions and reactions to him. But you barely catch him doing it. He can hang out with his 'Auntie Betsy' any time. :) :) :) What does it mean? :) Auntie Betsy? :) No Big. I have a daughter and seven nephews. When I let one of the boys get away with something that their mom's won't allow or give one of them a 'wet willie' (lick my finger and stick it in their ear) , that's 'Auntie Betsy'. Mischievous.

I saw my fire. It's back.

I thought I was hearing my own heart beating like I was dying or something. Turns out it was my fire roaring . And probably some people who were clammoring to put it out again too. My fire whispered to me that some of the baggage I've carried has to burn before it can move back in. Some of the attire too. Yeah, I've noticed it. I was just watching to see what was going on, but I've noticed it. For five years life has been kicking my ass. And I have been letting it. When your fire is gone, you don't fight like you should. My cd changer in the car has Hinder, BuckCherry, the Band and Shooter Jennings. My fire. Levon is burning as brightly as ever. Two of the slots I forgot what's in them on purpose, so that I don't resent my child for it. But with those four cds, my fire was creeping back to me. Even when I didn't remember I had a fire. I live in a town of 35,000 people and no music store. I had to drive 45 minutes to find BuckCherry (Walmart didn't even have it edited. Walmart has nothing unedited here. They have Hinder edited.) I don't want my music edited. Looked for 30 Round Clip, sorry Boom, this just ain't our kind of town. I've lived here 37 years and survived mostly because of my fire. I almost died and didn't even know I had a fire to miss. It may seem crazy but it finally makes sense. But I might not put my clothes back on just yet. And I might not recognize all of my friends. I have to figure it all out again. I'm really glad my fire is back. It's burned me a little lately, but I've been fighting it so hard, I guess I was bound to get burned. My baby nephew saw my fire and laughed at it. He has a fire too. I don't know if everybody has one, but I know if you have one, and lose it, things turn very bad. So if you get burned by my fire, be patient. I have to get it all back in then things will be fabulous again. Not normal, fabulous.

The following pictures are of my Grandfather's first cousin. He played for the Cincinnati Redlegs and I believe the Dodgers. He had a brother named George who also played professional baseball, but I just found out about him. I have some of the Baseball Cards for Hal Jeffcoat, but I've had them so long, I can't remember when or where I bought them. Probably the State Fair Grounds Flea Market 25 or so years ago. All of our Jeffcoat family is from the West Columbia South Carolina area. Many are still there.

My Grandfather was Allen Wesley Jeffcoat.
