Danish DJ, producer and artist TBM 1 is probably one of the most colorful performers that has emerged from the Danish Dance scene.

His Christian name is Mickey Billberg. Born in Denmark, raised in Copenhagen and in Fulham, London, he is the son of the late Jazz musician Rolf Billberg , a cult figure in Scandinavian Jazz music.

Moving away from home only 14 years old, bored with school he went out on the good ship "Fulton", to become a sailor. After a year on the sea he decided to join the army shortly after his 16th birthday. He served in the "Royal Danish Garderhusar Regiment" for 2 1/2 years. In that period he'd already started DJ'ing weekends in Copenhagen. After signing his first professional contract he soon began DJ'ing all over Europe.

In the summer of 1989 while DJ'ing in southern Germany, Mickey was involved in a tragic motorbike accident which put him out of business for over a year. No one left him good chances of recovering fully, but once again he proved everybody wrong. With an iron will he fought himself back into the top of the DJ-league, now with a new ambition; a determination to follow in his fathers footsteps as a musician.

In-between DJ stints, Mickey has been active on the Danish private radios with the radio experience garnered working in the U.K. and was a huge inspirational source to such radio stations as "Up-front" and "Power-FM". He also hosted a music show on the Danish TV channel "Kanal 2".

In 1991 TBM 1 was "discovered" by the DJ college and friend, Kenneth Bager who was manager for the now legendary "Coma Records" and TBM 1 became the very first Danish artist signing on the label with the track; "Back 2 The Bass". TBM 1 was in those days a household DJ and artist-name all over town, performing a.o. on numerous Coma parties. In the same period TBM 1 started out some of the very first Tehcno-raves called; "Subwave" together with his good friend, Rune Bendixen of the cult band; "The Overlords".

In 1993, TBM 1 set out to build his own studio, and form the production company: "Floormob & Beatraiders Inc. Production", who made numerous remixes such as:

Billy Idol - "Heroin" Deep Fried(Herbie) - "Channél Girl" Lelia K - "Electric" Rapino Brothers - "Go Ahead London" Yosh - "It's Whats Upfront That Counts" Mukkaa - "Kiss My Acid" Josh Wink - "Thoughts Of A Tranced Love"
A steady flow of own productions from Mickey's hands, both as artist and producer/engineer, has emerged from the Floormob studio:

In 1994 Mickey started a joint venture with "Mega Records" setting up a new and specialized Dance-label, "Smart Records". Later with the introduction of the Israeli "Trust In Trance" project, Smart also became a favorite label amongst some of Europe's leading DJ's. In late 95', however, Mickey left Mega/Smart Records in order to follow new ambitions.

In early 1996 Mickey decided to launch his own new label: "Spark Communications" in London together with his manager Ian Wright and Gordon Charlton, and continue where he left off; releasing good quality Techno/House productions. A couple of years later Mickey decided to let go of that label too, in order to fulfill new ambitions of starting his own Communications bureau.

With a new base in Sweden, Mickey is still DJ'ing, producing tracks, making remixes, and basically being a creative mind!
