About Me

I've been learning the guitar for nearly two years. I love it. Writing songs. I had a gig last summer, as part of a Arts Festival, and didn't invite anyone apart from my John, Katie and Allegra! Thought I'd make all my errors without too many eyes upon me.So, I'm struggling with writing more songs, becoming pretty cool with the guitar (both acoustic and electric) and being forced to watch cbeebies, playing shops and working as a classroom music teacher in a couple of schools. By the way, playing shops can be quite good but not watching Mr Tumble and CBeebies! MyGen Profile Generator ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

My Interests

Playing guitar, going to gigs, karaoke, laughing, dancing and singing, being with friends and loved ones, listening to music, always in search of the crack.

I'd like to meet:

Inspiring, creative, who have gorgeous sense of humours about them. Laughing is the elixir of life. Generally, like-minded people.

Tour Dates

Music:

Paul Weller, Arctic Monkeys, the Jam, The Twang,Stone Roses, Blur, Damon Albarn - probably anything he does, The Strokes (1st album), Bic Runga,KT Tunstall, The View, Jamie T, Primal Scream, Ben Harper, 60s Motown & Stax, folk - some of it.Myspace is still great 'cos I've just discovered Dogs and The Lines. There are so many great bands. I'm going to be so skint 'cos I have to go see all of them live. Now, let me be off and discover more young guns.

Movies:

All-time faves: Breakfast at Tiffanys, Bullets over Broadway, old 50s and 60 US musicals,The Party, The Rebel, Brokeback Mountain, Walk the Line, Little Miss Sunshine, Quadrophenia... that'll do for now

Television:

Life on Mars, Shameless, Charlie and Lola and love the Royle Family - still quality

Books:

A Prayer for Owen Meany, Poetry by Pablo Neruda, Seamus Heaney, Philip Pullman - in particular the Trilogy that includes 'The Subtle Knife'. Very clever because it can be read on so many different levels, from a nearly-teenager to an adult. Lately, it's been all the Charlie and Lola books, which are ever so endearing.

Heroes:

I'm feeling uncomfortable about the word heroes. There are people I admire for their different qualities like my beautiful friends and familyI am so lucky to have in my life and then there are the Porcelin Gods like Weller, Chrissie Hynde or wonderful activists who remain strong to the cause through adversity like Angela Davis
