CHECK OUT WILL OF THE ANCIENTS ON PLANET LOUD! http://www.planet-loud.com/v6/newbands.php
Will of the Ancients was forged in the coldest days of 2002 by Albanack, Gog, Tristram, and Macros. It was not until a steady drummer was inducted before WOTA's voice was heard. With the line-up of, Albanack (vocals), Tristram (Guitars), Arrakis (bass), Heborym (drums) and Melekhai (Guitar), the band recorded their first epic: Cold Grim Times, in early 2004. The line-up was shortly thereafter completed with Maelgad on keyboards. However, change was coming, and metamorphosis requires at least an ounce of pain. Albanack, founder of Will of the Ancients, was forced to leave due to personal reasons. With the bands first concert looming near, WOTA inducted Rex Lupis from Tristrams other project, Ockhams Razor. After two successful live dates, the bands metamorphosis became an epidemic, with Maelgad, Melehkai, and Heborym leaving the band for personal and artistic differences. Instantly Melekhai was replaced with The Griminal, also inducted from Ockhams Razor. Tristram, Arrakis, Griminal, and Rex Lupis, now unclouded by member differences, began to formulate a new direction. The four sought a drummer, and one was found: Veillko. Shortly thereafter, Conan filled the void of keyboards. The band played four successful live dates, however, due to time constraints and conflicting schedules, Veillko was forced to leave WOTA in early 2005. For a short while, Will of the Ancients searched for someone to enhance their rhythm section... In February 2005, the band was fortunate enough to meet Sayduke, whose maniacal and technical drumming was a perfect fit for Will of the Ancients. Sayduke was quickly inducted, finalizing WOTAs current incarnation. Currently, WOTA is perfecting new material, enthralling new audiences with live shows to showcase new material and preparing for a full-length release. In 2005, a new Will of the Ancients has been born, and only The Ancients know what impact is to come...
