LAPIDATE (NEW Mastered Tracks Up!)

About Me

Forming in 2002 out of Ajax, Ontario, as a couple of friends making music for fun, shortly after turned into a band we called "LAPIDATE" (which means to be stoned to death). The intension was to make groove based death metal music with a grinding overtone. We put out a few demos in 2002/2003 and played many of shows, before we got an offer from CIVILIAN DEATH NETWORK RECORDS in Late 2003 to release our debut full length "TAXIDERMY TEA PARTY", which was released June 26, 2004. We were very happy that the album got great feedback, and got our name out all over due to the hard work of Craig at CDN records. Since then we have played many awesome shows with killer bands, done little tours (that we can work around our working class scheduals haha). in 2005 We released a 4-WAY SPLIT cd on SCABBOMBARDMENT productions with F.A.T.O., Vomigod and Devoured. Later that year (2005) we got signed to UNMATCHED BRUTALITY RECORDS for the release of our upcomming 2nd full length album "SEX SELLS... BUT WHOS PAYING?". There has been many hold ups for this album due to the label, and the release date keeps being pushed back, BUT we assure you it will be comming out sooner than later now, and we hope you all enjoy it! New stuff is on the way as well, so keep in touch. Emails to the band can be sent to: [email protected], [email protected].
