Consequences are inevitable

About Me

Alternative of mind but classic in nature. I am usually the quiet one who enjoys listening and making meaningful comments as opposed to polluting the air with nonsense. Superficially I am your average gay guy but if you take the time to peel back the layers I am told there is much more than meets the eye.

Studying natural medicine has enabled me to appreciate the power of nature and that as humans we need to move beyond just living and accept that we are an integral part of earth’s eco-system, I have often heard that the earth will provide, but now I understand.

I firmly believe that literature has become a lost art and as such we are losing knowledge and culture, I will play no part in this degradation and will strive to remain learned.

I firmly believe in the psycho-emotional control of our physical well-being and that healing must encompass the whole self otherwise it is little more than just a bandaid.

Eastern philosophy intrigues me and I embrace it more and more as I continue to learn and understand.

My Interests

The Bach Flower Remedies discovered and developed by Dr Edward Bach (1886-1936) is a system of gentle medicine that addresses the psycho-emotional state of the person and influences healing of physical dis-ease caused by an imbalance. It has been used extensively for more than 120 years and is still very popular today. Most people will have heard of or used ‘Rescue Remedy’.

If you would like a Bach Flower Remedy assessment and remedy recommendation, please feel free to email me at [email protected]. I provide this service free of charge.

I study natural medicine because it intrigues me and I believe that the biomedicine/corporate approach to health fails to recognise healing as important.

I enjoy photography and the artistic style of photography especially male portraiture that explores and represents the masculinity and sexuality of the form. Classic art of the masters is also a great interest of mine, although cliché, Da Vinci remains one of my favourites as I find it completely intriguing that he represents much more than meets then eye.

I firmly believe that literature is fading as happens when any form of art is commercialised. We should all embrace classic literature as it is more than just a good story, it is representative of history, it contains moral and purpose and was the main form of media before the invention of television and radio. Marquis De Sade and Jean Genet were absolute masters of the pen and as yet modern film and literature are yet to deliver anything as reactionary.

I also love gay literature and cinema. Memoirs of a Gnostic Dwarf, Querelle of Brest, 120 Days of Sodom, anything by Vidal, The Marquis De Sade or Jean Genet.

Sadly though, I live in a modern world and am not completely ambivalent to what it has to offer. Christos Tsiolkas, Poppy Z Brite, James Robert Baker, Joel Lane, Dan Brown, Keif Hillsbery, Colleen McCullough, Martina Cole, Anne Rice and Patricia Cornwell always give a good read.

I'd like to meet:

To think of people who I would like to meet is difficult. This opinion is based on experience. In my experience I have met a lot of people, most of whom, retrospectively, I did not want to meet. However, eternally optimistic, I offer this summary.

Joseph Vargo, Poppy Z. Brite, James Robert Baker, Gore Vidal, Hitler, Stalin, Karl Marx, Justice Michael Kirby, The Brom Family, Dr Stephen Kaplan, The Count from Sesame Street, Elizabeth Bathory, Lilith, Edgar Allen Poe, Bram Stoker, H.R. Giger, The Marquis De Sade, Jean Genet, Emperors from the Red and Yellow Empirical Dynasties, Patrick Fillion, Dr Edward Bach, Dr William Hahnemann. An incubbus and a succubus.

I must therefore hold steadfastly to a belief in the afterlife, otherwise this list is nothing more than a flight of fancy.

Of course it is always a pleasant surprise when someone takes the initiative to actually make a comment. So surprise me, I can always be hospitable.

Music:

- EBM - Electro - Some trance - Covenant - Wumpscut - In-Strict Confidence - Assemblage 23 - Suicide Commando - Fiendflug - Cruciform Injection - God Module - Apoptygma Berzerk - Voltera

I also like 80's music, Pet Shop Boys and the like keep me entertained for hours. I'm gay so forgive me a little Kylie and Madonna, gay iconic pop has its place in my heart

Movies:

INTO GREAT SILENCE PART 1 Based on Jean Genets - Querelle of Brest PART 2 Based on Jean Genets - Querelle of Brest PART 3 Based on Jean Genets - Querelle of Brest THE MARQUIS DE SADE - STAGE PRODUCTION TESTOSTERONE - Based on the book by James Robert Baker

Television:

Television provides entertaining background noise, but rarely has the ability to capture my attention. However, there are always exceptions to the rule. Queer As Folk, Oz, ER, House, Will and Grace and classic cartoons.

Books:

Poppy Z Brite has always been a favourite, Lost Souls, Exquisite Corpse would have to be my fave, but I pretty much have and love all her writing. However - I must say that I am a little disappointed that she has moved away from the roots of her writing to the more glossy-consumer friendly style that she has recently taken on. Go back to where you come from Poppy, we loved it. James Robert Baker (R.I.P) an amazing writer - thank you. Robin Cook can always keep me riveted to the spot, cover to cover. Gay literature - bring it on. Jean Genet is one of the great classical writers who broke the boundaries with his upfront homoeroticism. Best known for his book "Querelle of Brest Gore Vidal, I only recently found him, but I am destined to become an avid collector. Nigel Suckling thank you for your Vampires. Sam Chupp and Andrew Greenberg, for The Book of Nod we are indebted.
