I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Well, I'm a true Brissy girl...I have a pretty big personality... so I take a bit of getting used to as I always call a spade a spade, this as you can imagine gets me into a whole world of hurt quite often....although once your my friend, if you can put up with my "tact" ...I am true and Loyal.I grew up in the Airforce with my Mum Dad and siblings, learned to drive at 12 on the Wulkaraka Track in a column shift Ford... As RAAF kids we were posted overseas as well as around Australia. These days I have 4 really great kids: nearly 5yo Boy then a 7yo Girl ... 12 years gap .. then 17yo girl and 19yo boy two pigeon pairs... I count my blessings for them all everyday I look at them.I have worked in the Radio Industry for the past 14 years wearing a number of hats, Receptionist, Thunder Driver, Promotions Assistant, Assistant Producer and Live Traffic Reporter.I left my full time career a few years back to concentrate on raising my family accepting a contract with the Brisbane City Council broadcasting traffic for ABC Radio, Murray Country and Community Stations.I have now been a relief Traffic Reporter for Australian Traffic Network in Brisbane for the past 10 years, flying in a Cessna every week end initally and filling in on all contracted stations. I then spent 12 months as full time Traffic Reporter for Chrissy and Ronnie on Hot91 Sunshine Coast. That was a great gig! I would love to work with them again...Ronnie is just sooo cool! It's been good to ease off the grind stone for awhile but time is ticking and I find myself edging my way back to work you know while I'm in my Prime. lolMy Sis Niki has started her own business...check out her myspace... Nikioke She is the True Kimmy of my life... often finding ourselves in the middle of one of "their" conversations.. mmm don't know whether I should be admitting that, but there u go, she truely missed her calling and should have been a Comedian ...We both love to belt out a song, hence her business, we would hit the Kareoke Pubs just to watch "the Stars" it's a blast just watching how "good" everyone thinks they are..... and if they enjoy it .. then good on em..I was recently (24/10/06) (not so recent now)on the Seven Sunrise program in relation to my Dad who was killed in a shipping disaster 20 years ago.. see blog..It's a pretty unbelievable story.. and sadly still unresolved.

My Interests

Would have really liked one I'm the eldest of 8 kids so was taught very early in life to be self reliant..I would probably have to class my Dad as a definate hero anyone who had to go through what he did must be..... Maybe one day Kevin Rudd will help me finalize Foreign Affairs major stuff up 20 years ago allowing us just the basic's like putting him to rest with his Son & Wife... that would probably qualify..
