The Unknown are a Punk-Rock four piece from Shropshire, playing a mixture of original material and covers. We've been together about 18 months now, travelling around Shropshire and Worcester to play gigs. We have featured in the Kidderminster Shuttle Newspaper, Shropshire Star and Ludlow Advertiser. "Give Me A Reason" has been played on the Wyre (a local radio station) 10/12/06. We have played the following venues,
-The Varsity (Wolverhampton)
-The Rock Cafe (Stourbridge, most recently supporting The Jamm)
-The Taphouse (Kidderminster)
-The Therapy Lounge (Tenbury)
-The Bull (Ludlow, most recently at the Easter Festival)
-Shitfest Music Festival (near Farlow)
-Bromsgrove Artrix Theatre (most recently in a battle of the bands final)
-Leintwardine Hall (supporting Exit Avenue)
-etc..
The band consists of 4 members, Robin Murphy (Guitarist, Backing Vocals), Dave Penberthy (Guitarist, Backing Vocals), Tom Warner (Drums, Backing Vocals) and Scott Southall (Bassist, Lead Vocals). We mainly play music of a punk rock genre, but also have a mixture of Punk/Indie/Rock/Mod influences. Our standard set list includes covers and original material, with growing focus now on our own songs. We have 40 minutes worth of original material and around 1.5 hours of covers. We recorded tracks (those on the player) some time ago and as such we feel they're a little out of date. We are beginning the process of recording another Album/Demo, which should be completed soon and containing around 12 tracks. All the songs are written, recorded, owned and performed by "The Unknown". All music and logos subject to agreed copywrite.
