Although my paintings stay faithful to the formal visual elements defined by figurative traditions, my inspiration is drawn from more fanciful and ethereal sources. The bulk of my work explores the ideas of an ephemeral soul, the symbolism of wildlife, and spirituality at large. You will find mystical landscapes, whimsical dreaminess, and nostalgic undertones in pieces that I hope will bring the viewer a sense of quiet enjoyment.
I was born in Moscow, Russia and raised in Boulder, Colorado where I learned about snowboarding and the benefits of wheat grass. I moved to New York to attend Pratt Institute and later the the New York Academy of Art where I received her MFA in painting. I have also attended the New York Studio School, Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice, Italy, and the Surikov Insitute of the Arts in Moscow.
