We are releasing our material on our own label, NUFF POWA, as well as working with other labels at home and abroad, and hope to add a little stone to the rock solid building we call Reggae.
With our music we intend to preserve oldschool dub techniques and sounds, keep our sound live and spontaneous and blend the past with the future.
"Jacob's Ladder" is a horns instrumental featuring Leicester's Splitz Horns on the brass, I-Mitri (CounterAction) on the drums and Walker on the bass and rhythms, and it is the a-side of our first 10" single released in December 2006. The b-side titled "Tues Blues" features the same line up plus Dr Nebbya on the lead guitar. It is a rockers scorcher mixed in extended discomix style for lasting musical pleasure! Our latest release "Improvement Movement" is in fact a remixed version of a vocal track by Counteraction Sounds titled I-Mitri - "Heartfull Man" and features Ivet on the flute. Both tracks are released back to back on a 7" single titled "Counteraction meets Dub Providers" on THC Records. Look out for this one...
"Fort Dub" is our version of the cornerstone Roots classic "Fort Augustus", originally sung by the late Junior Delgado (R.I.P) and produced by the mighty Sly & Robbie". Strictly duplate biz...!! "Dread Alchemist" leaves live instrumentation aside and explores the digital side of roots with a little 80's flavour!! Check out our official website for the steppers cut of this one!!
