A blend of technical modern metal, hardcore breakdowns and percussive Latin rhythms is what has characterized For the Wounded since 2003. Few months after deciding to take a break, on August 2006 the band returned with the most aggressive and passionate music they have created to date. Joining Cesar Rodriguez and Victor Figueroa (the founding members of the band), Jose Luis (Joey) Vives, Fernando (Fernan) Larracuente, and Pedro Jose (PJ) Santiago come to deliver their freshman release under Southground. Recorded on February 2007, the EP â€œMusical Kendoâ€ could be classified as a Japanese Samurai on steroids. In this release not only you will find the characteristic technical metal riffs and hardcore breakdowns but you will also find a combination of classical music, relaxation music, and Latin rhythms. Throughout the end of the year For the Wounded will be promoting the new release with shows throughout Puerto Rico. Current lineup of For the Wounded includes: Joey (vocals), Cesar(guitar), Fernan(guitar), Deko(bass), and Victor(drums and percussion).
