About Me

About me If anyone is interested in my music, please have a look at my webpage MSOUNDTRACKS
I am a composer from Athens, Greece and I currently live and work in Spain. I love everything that has to do with music, film and arts in general. I am very inspired by composers and musicians from a variety of genres and I believe that every idiom serves a different purpose. Some of the most important influences for me at this time are avant garde composers such as Lutoslawski as well as more mainstream composers such as Howard Shore and Danny Elfman.
At the moment I am setting up my new studio in the Gothic neighbourhood of the old city in Barcelona. I am mainly a film music composer but I am also interested in many in other aspects of music. I am researching to start a PhD, possibly in ethnomusicology or composition. My other academic interests include music technology, orchestration, instrumentation and counterpoint.
As a performer I play a little bit of guitar, electric and classical, as well as the piano. I have also started playing the alto saxophone in Eb but I am only a beginner.
