About Me

I am a building at the corner of Elgin St. and Argyle Ave. that houses five people + two kitties and hosts concerts. Shows take place in my underbelly (aka: the basement) several times a month, featuring both acts local to Ottawa and out-of-town acts from places as close as Montreal and as distant as Texas. I offer myself as a space where musicians and other performers can have a great time, while gaining experience and increased exposure in the Ottawa community.

My Interests

Music and the performing arts, feeding on children, being a building.

I'd like to meet:

I welcome people of all ages, tastes, and backgrounds who enjoy good music and a fun, welcoming atmosphere that's half concert/half house party. If you are a band that plays interesting, unique music, or you're a performer of any kind whose act would work well in a large basement, please consider playing a show in me.

Music:

Local acts that have been my friends in the past: Embassies of Denmark, Elephantoms, Smoke Judo, Black Actors, That's the Spirit!, Sleeping Pilot, Fucked Corpse, Army of St. Joan, Crystal Eagles, The Acorn, Relief Maps, City of a Hundred Spires.
FOREIGNERS (aka: not from Ottawa) who have been my friend in the past: dd/mm/yyyy (TO), Crystal Clyffs (MTL), Pants Yell! (Boston), Paper Rad (Northampton), Think About Life (MTL), Ohbijou (TO),Real Live Tigers (Texas), Quebexico (TO/Ottawa), Doveman (NYC), Yomul Yuk (MTL), Timber Timbre (Toronto), Lexie Mountain Boys (Baltimore), Mini Victrola (MTL), The Robot Ate Me (Washington), Run Chico Run (Victoria), Tunturia (TO), AIDS Wolf (Ottawa/MTL).
