Hollyhood's Version of Lollipop Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Hollyhood--formerly known as Baby Gurl (Skool Gurlz)--has been involved with music since the tender age of 5; however, it wasn't until the age of 12 that she realized she possessed hip hop talent. She had her first break when she formed the Skool Gurlz, which consisted of three members: Princezz (Countess), Angel (Mykeale), and Baby Gurl (herself). The group portrayed an innocent image, but twisted it with rowdy lyrics for their youth fanbase to get "crunk!" "Wyle Out," "Get Em Outta Here," and "Can't Do That" are among the many songs that led to the rise of the group. Educational goals and the girls' desire to individually explore the entertainment industry led to the group's split in 2004; however, the Skool Gurlz still remain friends to this day.
In 2005, Hollyhood established Eye Candy, a duo consisting of her, group member Lady BG, and an all-female street team. The group attempted to work towards mixtapes and their 1st LP, but due to college, the lack of effort, and the absence of management, the group crumbled. In the midst of attending Southeast Missouri State as a Chemistry major, Hollyhood used ghostwriting as a hustle and has since been composing material for 2 solo projects, as well as a collaboration album with STL's own DimeDERT. The Rush, scheduled to release in 2008 will consist of street anthems like "Real Goons," "Like This," and many more hot tracks. Also, feel free to wear out Hood's bangin anthem, "I'm Paid."
