Affectionately dubbed "Shorty Da' Kid" by friends when he made history by becoming the Youngest Radio Personality in ClearChannel History, scoring his very own radio show at the age of 12! You can currently catch St. Louis' most famous teenager taking over the airwaves at 100.3 The Beat every Monday thru Friday from 6-10pm hosting the city's 1 radio show. Not bad for a part-time job, huh?The reason Shorty's radio gig is only part-time is because he is hard at work keeping focus on his own music career. The teenage rapper recently inked a multi-million dollar recording contract with local production legends Trackboyz Entertainment (Nelly, J-Kwon, Youngbloodz) and Atlantic Records (T.I., Juvenile, Lil Kim). "The Trackboyz/Atlantic situation is a dream come true. I've been a fan of Tarboy's since his work with Nelly and J-Kwon." The youngster jokingly continues, "Actually, if you look close enough you can see me in Kwon’s "Tipsy" video. I was 13 then and used my job at the radio station to get on the set." While "on set" Shorty caught the attention of Trackboyz producer Mark "Tarboy" Williams. Tarboy remembers, "Lil dude had so much energy. All he wanted to do was spit for me, and of course I wasn't takin him serious cause of his age, he looked like a baby. But I let him. And when he did I was shocked at his flow, his lyrics, and most of all, his swagger. He totally blew me away. The rest is history, he was at my home studio that same weekend signed to Trackboyz and recording his demo." Tarboy continues, "Once I got him in the studio I knew getting him a major label deal was going to be easy, we were just waiting for the right situation. Shorty's music embodies everything the St. Louis youth are all about. What they are thinking, feeling and saying, but he delivers it in a way that the entire country is going to feel."Top Fan Pages
