About Me
He started studying alto saxophone at 12 years old. After college, he attended soprano and tenor saxophone classes at the jazz school “Il suono improvviso†(directed by Gianantonio De Vincenzo and Marco Castelli) in Venice, then at “Musiche Insieme†in Udine (directed by the local saxophonist Nevio Zaninotto). Then, he took private lessons with the Canadian saxophonist Robert Bonisolo and attended the KarntnerLandesKonservatorium in Klagenfurt (Austria). He took also part to a number of workshops held by famous Italian and foreign musicians (Kenny Wheeler, Dave Liebman, Fred Hersh, Bobby Shew, Klaus Gesing, Marc Abrams, Kyle Gregory, Glauco Venier, David Boato, Paolo Birro).
- He was among the finalists of the national contest “C. Bettinardi: Nuovi Talenti del Jazz Italiano†2005 (New Talented Jazz Musicians in Italy).
- He won the national contest “Premio Jazz Lighthouse: Giovane in Jazz 2006" (Lighthouse Jazz Award: Youth in Jazz 2006").
