Boston (Nov. 15, 2006) – Prone 2, one-half of Swindle U and one-sixth of the Greater Good, brings a unique and innovative style to the plate. Prone is praised for his creative writing and punch lines, but it's his one of a kind voice, flow and delivery that sets him apart from the masses. The artist was once content with making music a hobby; he has in recent years begun to release his projects to the public, performing in and around Boston.
Prone grew up in the Dorchester section of Boston. He was able to avoid most of the negativity that existed in his environment, although he was always aware of his surroundings. The Dorchester native beat the odds and stereotypes of his upbringing by becoming a college graduate. He prides himself on being able to merge these two extremely diverse worlds in his music.
Prone’s lyrics cover a wide range of concepts and subjects, which makes it hard to label him as anything but GOOD. It’s this aspect that makes him not just a rapper/emcee, but an artist. It does not matter if he rhymes about his gear, women, social consciousness or just lashing out, he is always true to himself. He uses his music to highlight the common thread that ALL fans of hip hop share by erasing the barricades that separate them.
Prone has already created a major buzz on the streets of Boston. It's gonna be a GOOD year and prone plans to make everyday in '06 and beyond a "Prone2'sday.â€
prone2'sday has finally arrived!!! Want one? Get it here!!
