About Me
Every once in a great while a culmination of talents and forces formulate to create something epic and longed for. Energies combine to produce something with an aura, which radiates authority and distinction amongst the rest, reassuring that there is something great on the horizon. The Greater Good is that dynamism. Hailed by many the most profilic asssortment of Mcs from Boston, they are a hip hop super group consisting of Amadeus the Stampede Jake The Snake,Lord Tuch, Prone 2, Speks, and Karas. Six strong strong individuals with unique styles that blend seamlessly into one force for the bottom line. The Good satisfies the souls of those who long feel the essence is gone in the game, as their true school influences shine through, while maintaining a current focus on elevating the music in todays commercially driven market.
The Good was formed one late night in a studio session freestyle, where the five original members Amadeus, Benny, Snake, Prone, and Wiz were all flexing each others styles, and the result was evident. Mutual feelings desired that something had to come of this. Prone later developed the title ..The Greater Good.., not only describing the The Bean's much needed element of powerful talent, but the hip hop games need in general for something of this magnitude. Speks, who grew up with Amadeus in the Tent City housing development in the South End, as well as gone to high school with Benny, was already associated with the whole click. After coming home from a jail bid he fit perfectly into the crew, and the sinister six was formed. Eventually Karas, a friend of Snake's who had came to Boston from South Central L.A., was innagurated into the group after working closely with them for years. Aiming to create music for the ..greater good.. of the world, nothing like this had been brought to fruition in years.
With Prones unique flow, voice, and delivery, Snake..s smooth charisma and picture painting style, Speks..s aggressive flow and wise wordplay, Karas's swagger and rhytmatic delivery, and Amz..s voice of reason and authority, hip hop fans are like kids in a candy store when it come to the Good. Upon his return from the confines of a state penitentary, Lord Touch, who was also from Tent City joined the group and brought his aggressive yet intelleginet voice to the Good. DJ Special Blend came into the fold aswell, providing the backbone for the crew through the wheels of steel and production. The G-double-O-D has perceveared through roster adjustments, incarcarations, and more only to thrive with numerous strong releases.
