About Me

.. CDBABY LINK for HARRY WOJAK: Leave it Behind --Imagine Harry’s surprise when two years ago he mentioned his intention of recording some of his original music. The response he received from other members in the local music community was not only encouraging but to the top with support and enthusiasm. After eliciting the production assistance of long time musical friend and virtuoso Mark Sterling and engineer Paul Schmitz, Harry began the journey of recording his music. It was initiated by bringing on board the heavy rhythm section of drummer Chad Melchert ( aka Snooky ) and bassist Mike Lent. " I think we knew we had something special going on from the start of those sessions. We..d scheduled 3 days to complete the bed tracks ( drums and bass ) and including set up, we completed the beds in a day and a half. Mike and Snooky were just sick in how well they laid their parts down. " Since that time Harry has managed to craft a 12 track CD full of emotionally honest, thought provoking and memorable material that has drawn comparisons to the likes of Martin Sexton, David Gray and the Jayhawks. " We wanted to create a feel with the CD that could allow the listener to connect emotionally to the music and lyrics while at the same time have a disk that could fill a room with a smooth vibe that shared your space and invited you into a different experience with every song."Leave it Behind is a collection of 12 songs that range from the heavy pulsed movers like " Seemed so Real " and " Get Over it " to the rich and organic arrangements on " Empty Chair " and " Who Knew. .. " Mark ( Sterling ) and I worked closely together on arrangements and his extraordinary musical ability can be heard through out the entirety of the album. Plus Paulie turned the mastering dials to just the right frequency that allowed life to breathe into the music. ..Complimented by the gifted art design on the CD cover of talented NY artist and long time friend Timothy Okamura, Leave it Behind looks and sounds like an album created for people who enjoy a real depth and feel in their sounds and crave an honesty in what their music has to say to them.
