About Me

I am an artist, photographer, and vocalist. I'm studying to become a Cosmetologist at the moment. My boyfriend of 3+ years, Danny, is studying to become a Chiropractor. We are both pursuing careers that have nothing to do with our undergrad degrees! I have a BA Music (vocal performance), with a minor in Photography, and Danny has a BA in Anthropology. C'est la vie! I'm drawn to artists, musicians and creative people that don't have the whole ego thing going on, and who are doing what they love, simply because they love it. I was fortunate to be musical partners with my Mom while I was living in Florida. She and I had a vocal/harp duo going, and I miss it dearly. We did a variety of music including traditional Irish, English and Welsh pieces as well as a song in Elvish! I'm carefully seeking out musical contacts here in St. Louis. While in Florida, I did some modeling, and also worked as a Veterinary Surgery and Dental Tech for almost 5 years. It was a great experience, and I met some wonderful people. It was a nice departure from what I'd studied in College for so long! After a while, I realized that I wanted to pursue something that was more creative again, so I decided to begin studying Cosmetology. Some random facts: I have a pretty extensive list of words from the English language that gross me out (hearty, nourishing, moist, etc.), I do a mean Fire Marshall Bill impression, I actually can make the most annoying sound in the world, My sister, Erika and I made up the word "Onsaplonsa" which to this day, only she and I can make sense of, I can sing like Aaron Neville if I really try, I cut my own hair, I'm scared of sea life and clowns, my nickname is "Weezie" (Weez), I think Tinkerbell is a hooker, my favorite song to sing is "Summertime" from Porgy and Bess.
