BURGESS THE RHYMER

I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

Something of a flaneur, and said to be a Poet of word and image; dealing primarily in dream, desire, loss and longing. My cause; injustice (but not always in it's most obvious form)and to remind humans that they too are animals.I've also done music in the past and worked briefly with Nikki Sudden, Epic, Mike Scott and Anton Thistlethwait from the Waterboys, JC and Anphibius and a few others, last playing on a regualr basis around the lower East side of New York and in Brooklyn. The recently re-issued Metrophase tracks on compilation albums in North America and Australia have also caused a sudden interest in the young rhymer and brought radio plays on both sides of the Atlantic and caused people to talk about me on the interweb, which is amusing. I make collage artwork and have exhibited work in small galleries and cafes in London, Oxford, Bologna, New York, Amsterdam and elsewhere, the last being in the Foundry, in Hoxton,London.I've had a few different jobs, including being a Civil Servant and photographer with Chelsea football club, former paid better but the latter included some great travel schedules like Rome on wednesday, Hull on Saturday, with the highlights being taking photos at a game 200 miles into the arctic circle at Tromso in the snow (lost 1-3) and amid a hail of missiles at Galatasaray in Istanbul (where Chelsea won 5-0).While doing a Degree course, I had a placement at the Young Unknowns gallery and sold much work there during themed exhibitions. The galleries determination to push the boundaries of art saw a court case which spawned a Guardian cartoon strip. The past two years have been spent writing and producing artworks. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .I now run a monthly poetry club at the 3 Kings publick house in Clerkenwell, London with Line Thomsen,a poet from Denmark. The club is called Y TUESDAY and it has it's own myspace site.I f you wish, you can also CHECK OUT MY ART & PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE FOLLOWING WEBSITE: http://www.myartprofile.com/steev
