About Me

Myspace Layouts by Pimp-My-Profile.com

A writer from the UK, Sharon had her first short story accepted by the second publication to which she offered it. This was entitled ‘Silver Apples of the Moon’ published by Roadworks Magazine. The editor quoted it as accepted due to having ‘both a Sci-fi and horror element, strong on characterisation, and quite literary, in terms of style’. Editor, Trevor Denyer, said that it was a story that ‘had me gripped from start to finish’ and as a result pronounced her as ‘a writer who is going places’. Since then, her work - poems, short stories and articles - have appeared steadily in print and online publications.Previously, she has kept the erotic side of her writing separate. The genre appealed though as it allows her the freedom to create something more expressive, less oppressive. She firmly believes that having a chance at such ‘free reign’ occasionally reflects favourably in her work. It has always been a part of her personality in that she likes surprising and delighting people.Subsequently, she has been approached on occasion to write articles such as reports and publicity material, though her focus will always be story telling. She links her most favoured and often most successful work closely to fantasy, though her writing crosses genres. She often thinks about moving but lives primarily in a world of her own.

My Interests

Writing, reading, movies, theatre, music, art, walking the dog (when I had one) and spending time with a few very special people.

I'd like to meet:

Readers and writers. People who love books no matter what their format. Readers who understand how it feels to be lost in another world and writers who know what it's like to create one.

Music:

Anything and everything, just about. It depends what mood I'm in.

Movies:

All sorts. I love fantasy, sci-fi, action movies, and some romances espeicially if they're comedy romances.

Television:

Series. I like series. I've bought most of the ones I loved, which include Firefly, Quantum Leap, Due South, I-Man, Brisco County, American Gothic, among many, many others. I like House, and Grey's Anatomy. Good sci-fi or fantasy, drama or a good comedy.

Books:

It would be easier to ask who I don't like. I have very eclectic tastes.

Heroes:

Most of my heroes are real people, real friends. If I mentioned them, I'd probably embarrass them.
Which ArchAngel are you most like?
Rafael. You're most like the ArchAngel of Healing. You want people to shape up, and you nag. But you mean well, and you're well loved despite it. Or because of it. You bring the donuts even as you tell people to eat more veggies.
