About Me

After playing in an other musical project together, Krisztian Vizy (guitar), Tamas Szava (bass) and Tamas Dezso Czigler (sampler-synth-programming) started to create dub songs in 2003-2004. Later Panni Csuthy (vocal), Rita Timar (drums) and instead of Krisztian Vizy, Balazs Puskas (guitar) has joined them. They started to work together in their studio room as a live band at the end of 2006.The style was always a special kind of abstract növo-electro dub, combined with trip-hop and broken beats. As it is common among dub artists, Laza Tuz Dub mixes the voices of live instruments, effects and samplers, computers. Regarding the earlier dub artists and the növo dubs of today, a lot of influences can be found in their music. The name Laza Tuz (in English: Cool-Loose Fire) expresses their musical attitude; with respect to the roots tradition, they want to create something innovative, new and fresh. Since in Hungary dub is not as well known as other genres of reggae like roots-dancehal-ska, the big mission of the band is to familiarize people with this futuristic style.
