Irie Maffia Mc Columbo is the one and only youth who is known as the honorary white jamaican in Hungary. Rappin and singin from 2000, started with Minimalheadz crew from Tilos radio and continued with many many dj's and producers from the hungarian underground scene.
He was also toasting beside DJ Palotai & DJ Cadik and soon the two top a top djs invited him to their clubbnight called Rewind! 2003 there were several parties in the countryside, radio shows, live act featurings with Karányi, collaborating with some of the biggest names for example Dj Lee, Adam F, Ollywood, Blim, Aquasky, Ragga Twinz and almost whole of the hungarian ones.
Known his style is the ragga, he wasn't averse to the jamaican culture and reggae music. That was the reason why he became the usual guest of the Dancehall Fever clubbnights with Love Alliance Soundsystem the first dancehall, reggae club in Hungary in 2004. He started to learn the patois language and practice with his friend MC Kemon from Grenada.
In these times Dj Dermot & Kemon beside Love Alliance were residents at one of the well known hip-hop crews clubbnight, called Gimmeshot. Mango the former of the crew has invited Columbo also.
Right after Dermot formed his own soundsystem with Columbo, called Irie Maffia which has a live band formation with 10 people in 2005. Soundsystem was made specially for the rubadub and oldskool dancehall sound and the live band plays mainly funk, reggae and hip-hop tunes.
Besides all of these projects in the same year a hungarian drum & bass live band called Brains invited him as a front mc. They have many concerts around Europe (Croatia, Austria, Checz-Republic, Netherland, France, Italy, Slovakia, Slovenia, Germany, UK, etc..). Columbo has already worked with Jah Turban, General Levy, Top Cat, Germaican Records, Perfect, Ras Mc Bean, Cee Rock "The Fury", Mc PJ and many more. Nowdays he makes dubplates for all over the world, feautring in soundtracks and other bands also. The destiny is to acquaint the old skool rubadub style with the people and make interesting compound of it. Az

VETERAN TOP CAT ALONGSIDE BRAINS!
We have a collaboration with the junglist king Top Cat (UK) on the new Brains album named "Top Shotta". Our guest pays his duty to us also at the album release party on the 23rd May.
