Zulu Maestro

He got so much soul!

About Me

This dude GOT SOUL BABY!!! The Maestro is just a proud B-boy in the world of bling-bling and other corruptions of hip-hop culture and music. He stands firmly against the grain of soul-less "image music," constructed by focus groups and sold wholesale by corporate henchmen to the unenlightened or indifferent ears of the masses. He demands that the soul...the FUNK...be brought back into the art, music and culture he loves. Some would call him a music and/or culture snob, or a hater...he calls it being passionate. But instead of ranting and raving about this corruption, he takes action by diggin' for Funk, spinnin' the breaks, and producing the gruv that stirs the soul through drum machines/samplers, guitars, keys and other instruments. He is a DJ for the Lyrical Discipline Crew; holds down the SP1200/MPC60 for the Jimi Handtrix Experience, and proudly represents the Universal Zulu Nation and Mighty Zulu Kings (peace ahki/malikha/king/queen to all amazulus worldwide!) I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
