Antonio “The Rock Violinist†picked up a violin at the age of three and started winning competitions by age six. His parents shortly discovered that their child was gifted in music and by age ten, Antonio was sharing the stage with some of the most influential artists in the music industry. When he’s not performing live around the country, Antonio enjoys collaborating with major musicians on albums and promoting the GRAMMY organization’s youth programs. ANTONIO DONATES A PERCENTAGE OF PROFITS FROM HIS MUSIC TO CHARITIES AND HIS FOUNDATION, THE MUSIC PRODIGY FOUNDATION INC. TO HELP BRING MUSIC INTO LESS FORTUNATE PEOPLE`S LIVES.
Once you hear Antonio Pontarelli, you will never forget the sounds of this passionate young 7-string electric violinist/singer/songwriter. He puts a spin on everything he plays to make it his own, creating a signature trademark with his Viper violin.
"As an artist, it's all about the music and so it's important to connect with a broad palette of musical styles and collaborate with other artists to grow musically and to be current," says Pontarelli. "My diverse training has allowed me to find my voice in modern rock which has blues, classical and jazz influences." Because of this fresh forward thinking style Pontarelli has been asked by major Grammy winning producers to write songs for some of the industries biggest stars. Currently, he is in the studio with his band recording his debut rock album which is slated for release in 2007.
