I started my dj career when one of my best friends was to drunk to read the titles on the CD inlays. I was thrown in the pit at peak time with 200 dancing people in front of me ... what a rush !!
I was spinning mainly grunge, new wave, punk and some metal these days. Did quite some parties over the years but my it became never my main occupation during my spare time.
After I got a divorce a few years ago I was eager to dj again, I did a lot of appearances as a guest DJ at almost every Belgian dark electro/industrial/new wave party organisation. Did the "Noize::Nation" afterparty twice and found out there was more dark stuff on the market when you looked beyond the regular "goth/electro/indus releases".
2003-2004 ... a whole new world openend when I discovered electro-clash ... electro ... underground techno ... and in a later stadium minimal-tech. Due to some stupid coincidences I rediscovered the feeling of vinyl-records, a started buying them again and dived deeper and deeper in the darker dance scene, bought me some turntables and discovered the power of beatmixing. Today ... I still work the decks in the dark electro/goth/indus scene but I try to incorporate other "darker" sounds and gimmicks within my sets ... spinned some electro/minimal-tech sets in smaller venues and on a huge fetish rave "B.I.T.C.H". On the producing part it is all fun and games, incorporating some industrial elements into electro-tech basics and trying to remix some existing stuff as mash-up or just add some personal flavours.
