Performing in front of 15000 fans is a dream come true for any performer, and for Mr Birmingham himself it was exactly that when he performed with Blade as hype man, as the support act for Eminem on both his UK dates.
Defisis is recognised by his peers as one of the finest rappers in the country, and is considered by some to be one of the best in the world. There is not a person on this island who could top his skills or charisma as an emcee, and he stands out as one of the most original and inventive rappers ever.
Defisis is one half of the duo DFXO, who after a string of acclaimed mixtapes released their EP ..Kill Ya Wiv A Demo.. in 2001 on SFDB Records. His story is the typical telling of struggle as a Hip Hop artist in the UK, with a touch of tragedy and a pinch of mayhem, but Defisis (always against the odds) continues to prove his worth.
His first solo release was an EP entitled, ..So You Think You..re Funny?.. in 1998 prior to the DFXO release. Next a German 12.. vinyl single called, ..Inside Knowing.. followed shortly on SWAMP Records, with an album recorded, ready and waiting in the pipeline. However a deal couldn..t be struck and the album was put away. He has appeared on several SFDB issues and finally had an EP released on the label called, ..It..s Like That.., and he also teamed up with Infinite Livez for ..Earth Time.. and Gamma on ..Killer Apps.. (Extra Yard LP), which were both released on Big Dada.
Mr Sick2yaGunz and his Brummy roots as a member of the Shadowless clique, Def aka Tatsuo Gen-ryu-sai has also made appearances with New Flesh 4 Old (Eat More Fruit), and on R2thaBeatz mixtapes (Universal Flag Of Hip Hop) and an armfull of compilation albums. R2thaBeatz production features heavily on Defisis.. own recently released mixtapes as well, which also credit production from the likes of Juma, Vinyl Mafia, DJ Serious, MarkB, Composure,X-Ray and Bankrupt Europeans.
