ATMA

.. ATMA-a sanskrit word that means the self, or the soul. I've been studying metaphysics for about a decade, and I've been studying sanskrit for about 6 years. In 1996, my life drastictly changed..I had a near death experience, afterwords..I realised that I wasn't this material body and most importantly, that God exists. 3 weeks later I got out of the hospital, and I was walking around Chicago,and I saw the world totally different then I did before, I noticed that some people, were giving me dirty looks for no reason because they were suffering, it really had nothing to do with me, they were just unaware of divinity within...so... I began a spiritual quest...Since then I've had the great fortune of meeting many gurus, yogis, sages, mystics,and devotees, that have helped me progress spiritually. But, I grew up with hiphop, so when I started to really delve into my spiritual life, at times living in different temples, It was very difficult for me to deal with the months and years of purification and celebacy...old habits die hard...lol...stunts, blunts, and hiphop....but, no more stunts for me, I finally met a woman who truely loves me unconditionally...Kyra, from Bensonhurst Brooklyn, aka "Miami Brookie" who is the realest female In my life along with my mother and sisters, I'm blessed to have these strong,intelligent,spiritually aware, beautiful women in my life..word9...The masters I've met in my journey are unbelievable, It seems as though they're not even human, and the reason being, is that they've surrendered their will to the divine will, so they don't really have free will anymore, they're totally pure in consciousness from 30, 40, 50, years of spiritual puification, and strict celebacy..and, or, lifetimes of austerities, so they're like angels controlled by the Divine will....which is better than being a puppet to laws of material nature....at any rate, reversing all your energy so it's all inward, fixed on God within...... and without..... at every moment, is not all that easy, the mind is mad restless, cause most of us have been exploiting material nature for many, many lifetimes....so cleaning of the heart isn't really the most pleasant feeling, a serious devotee prays for mercy everyday. In the temple, we revolved around spiritual science, we would get up everyday at 3:30am, take cold shower to clean the aura from the mode of ignorance, and from that point on chanting sanskrit prayers and mantras, and meditating pretty much until 9:00am, then the rest of the day, you did service, cleaning the temple, cooking, ect..I ended up not being cut out for temple life as a monk,..but I have tremendous respect for those who surrender their whole lives to servitude to the Divine..Ive built with many spiritual masters, and have mad respect for what they stand for, when it's all said and done, i hope to have followed in their footsteps the best i could....I'm far from from perfection, but I've seen and I know a perfect master,I can't begin to tell you his glories, superhuman... Radhanatha Swami Maharaja is the greatest soul I've ever met.
He's on some interludes on my album He used to live in the jungles of the Himalayas in caves with only a begging bowl and some cloth to wrap himself, living with scorpians, tigers, ect. He said they were more peaceful than people..lol..For many months he would go to the Ganges river, swim out to a little island and meditate all day, then swim back and beg for food, usually he ate ahalf of a carrot a day!!! He became ematiated from so much fasting when he was young..Now he's the most compassionate being I've come across, and you can't hide anything from him, he sees right to your soul, piercing through ego. I've been builden with him for a while now, and even though I have trouble following his precepts, he never puts me down, he just says with a compassionate glance, just try your best...Try to be pure and always chant Gods' names....All glories to my Divine Gurudeva! I hope one day I can repay you..... through hiphop, ive tried to share some of my realization...but I'm really just barely scratching the surface,the ultimate truth is too deep to put into rhymes...to quote Killah Priest-too much knowledge might break up the rhyme-I did it anyway just to wake up the mind-...I'll always try to and do my best, to spit the truth as a little insignifigant soul in this mayic thralldome.....and fight the good fight, I have alot of spiritual anger, because this world is fucked up...There are a handfull of reptilians in this world who think they're powerfull, but they're maggots in the eyes of God...This is the Garden of God, and they're are ruining it, mother earth is not having it, so prepare for more cataclismic events...I started recording in 96, after I became aware.. I've recorded 3 albums and 1 demo since, but, only one can be heard,-ATMA- BEYOND THE SPEED OF MIND-.I've been into hiphop since 85, 86, since I was 3 feet high and rising..lol..yo..gradeschool and high school was the shit because of hiphop..word up.How would my life be with out hiphop? i can't really fathom that.
