Picture a land where devestation, wrought by the idiocy of man, has consumed the land, and mental instability runs rampant. Now, picture the sounds of this land. This is Stormland. The brainchild of guitarist/vocalist/producer Justin Pierrot, Stormland began life as a one-man project, gradually growing as interested parties were found. Now, as 2007 begins, Stormland has set its sights on becoming a live act.
For the original demo done in spring 2003, Justin did the guitars, the bass, and the vocals, and Jake Wells drummed and recorded. Since 2005, Justin has been recording with just himself, and Dr. U.M. Machine at CATO, with Chris entering as second vocalist in 2006 with the recording of "Once We Were Strong." Attempts at forming a live band have been unsuccessful at this point. What looked to be a solid core group has since broken up, leaving Justin and the Stormland project with an uncertain future.
However, in September of 2007, drummer Casey Stone answered an ad in a facebook group looking for members, and guitarist Milic Korac expressed interest in learning the songs, and new seeds were planted. With the addition of a bassist in October.
In early 2008 though, there was some line-up turmaoil has occured, and Stormland is back to a one man project.

Today (12/13/06), on the anniversary of his death, we mourn the loss of Chuck Schuldiner, one of the greatest guitar players to ever grace the music scene. I consider him a big influence on my playing, and he will be missed by all. If you have an opportunity, please give to a cancer research organization. I know I certainly will.
