Thanks for taking the time to check out the Zombie Massacre myspace page. We've been going strong for over three years now and we have all of you to thank for it, and we thank you for sticking with us.
In late 2003 Richi Crypt grabbed Scott Parker by the jugular and decided it was high time Harlow's stagnant music scene got a kick in the nuts. In a town bogged down by widdly guitar wankers, pretentious indie pricks, sound-alike pop punk/ska bands, and a teenage scene that considered Kurt Cobain the second coming and cared more about haircuts then music... The ghastly duo decided that they could only really make music about one thing very close to their cold little hate filled hearts. And that was their loves for Horror.
A twisted fellow with the mind of a nightmare, going by the name of Louis Sullivan, shared the vision of gory glory and was quickly drafted into the ranks of the damned as their bass bearer. After a long tiresome period of searching for a singer the ghastly bastards chose a child known only as "Izzy" ..May she rest in pieces... Eventually a young boy with a penchant for pornography and vocal molestation was unearthed to take her place. A young William Smith (aka: Spud) took upon himself the burden of singing for the band. Another young man named Liam was also drafted in as a second guitarist, but was far too talented and had to be quickly ejected from the band.
In the early days most people brushed them off as a Misfits cover band. While the guys definitely loved the Misfits, they felt a little hard done by being tarred with the same brush. Constantly being put down by boys in girls jeans and hair in their eyes, and teenage girls pretending to be drunk while wearing sunglasses in the dark can get old really fast.. Infact, it was too much for Scott to handle, and he left to follow career in "more serious music".. George Rockliffe took up the sticks in his place and we havent been able to get rid of him since. With him came his younger brother Billy Rockliffe as the second guitarist. Who was quickly eaten alive by teenage mutant drunken girls in sunglasses.
With Scott gone Richi was able to take the band in a much darker, more controversial direction while retaining his gloriously morbid sense of humour. Rape, Murder, The Apocalypse, Suicide, The Undead, and Nazi's on surfboards may be the key ingredients to a great Saturday night, but now they we're also firm fixtures in zombie massacres set-list. Giving demo's to anyone that would take them quickly got them an explosive gig at the local bowling ally, where they proceeded to set the place on fire...Literally. Proudly taking the place as the last live band to play that venue. EVER. Securing their place in local legend
Shortly after, they where offered a place supporting Capdown: a band billed as the biggest UK ska act since the Specials.
The gig sold out.
After the gig, Richi and the rest of the band went into hiding, pottering away at
dark devices just out of sight of the human eye. The bands story constantly converting more followers to their dark cause. Soon the time will come, and they will rise again...Embarking on a small tour of the south east of England. The Zombie Massacre has only just begun. Be sure to catch the frightful foursome at a venue near you soon.
