We all live with the objective of being happy; our lives are all different and yet the same.

About Me

My mum died the beginning of May and now I'm in this weird stage of denial. I've decided that she's just been too busy to call me and then I in return am too irritated with her for being too busy to call me that I'm now refusing to pick up a phone and give her a call - thus explaining the whole lack of communication thing. I absolutely will not go to mum and dad's house because then I would have to see that mum's not there, nor are any of her things and that would blow my current theory all to hell. I'm a black woman trapped in a white woman's body. I'm the mother of three gorgeous boys who vex my spirit and delight my soul. I'm in the middle of a midlife crisis and lately I'm changing my hair color with almost as much frequency as I do my undergarments. I work for an incredible sports brand that I think the world of, in a position that is causing me to re-evaluate what I want to be when I grow up and consuming more alcohol than normal. My favorite color is orange. I'm right handed. I wear a size seven shoe and apparently my thyroid doesn't work anymore, so now I finally have a reasonable excuse for being a chubby bunny though I'm now forced to take a little yellow pill each morning to correct the aforementioned condition. I love my camera but feel pressured to use it for something other than my own entertainment, so being stubborn and rebellious, I generally refuse to pick it up these days. I drive too fast and I hate cauliflower. My dream car is a HUMMER and I want a bulldog named Lillian sometime before I die. I've never been outside of the continental US, excluding the honeymoon from hell in the Bahamas, and I'm desperate to see Europe before I'm too old to remember that I've even been there. I could ramble on for several more paragraphs but I have the attention span of a gnat on crack and if you do as well, I lost you somewhere back in sentence number three.... For those of you who stuck it out ~ Thanks for playing and here's a nice edition of our home game.

People who aren't fuckers. People who are intelligent. People who are funny. Positive people. Shiny, happy people. People who can draw and paint and create. People who can speak volumes in the way that they use a handful of words. People who can do amazing things with their voice or an instrument. People who can capture a moment in time with their camera and hold it still for years after the moment has passed. Kindhearted people. People who leave this earth a better place than when they entered it.View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment
