I'd like to meet:

Anybody who is devastatingly witty and /or life enhancing. Also (and I'm aware how desperate this next bit sounds) anyone who reads my blog. it's poetry, but it's not cringey, honestly...

Music:

Very varied. My top picks at the moment would be: midlake, Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins and Joan as Policewoman. I've also just bought Fionn Regan's CD after seeing him support Midlake - amazing. I love loads of other stuff from Pixies to Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young to The Smiths to Rufus and Martha Wainwright to Gillian Welch to Jeff Buckley to ELO to just about anything (but not Death Metal)

Movies:

The Royal Tenenbaums, Dog Day Afternoon, Lawn Dogs (in fact anything with Sam Rockwell), Badlands, Beetlejuice, anything really with a good story and/or swearing

Television:

Crime all the time also That Mitchell and Webb Show, The Mighty Boosh, Big Train, Black Books, Green Wing, ER...

Books:

I love to read. My favourite writers include Margaret Atwood, Alice Munro, Joyce Carol Oates, J Robert Lennon, Jeffrey Lent, Louise Erdrich, Annie Proulx, Chuck Pahlanuik, Leif Enger, Raymond Carver, Rachel Cusk and Toni Morrison

Heroes:

My dear departed Dad and Marilyn for her style. Also Bust magazine for relighting my revolution and any girl (or woman) that can hold her own without joining the crowd or isolating herself.
