Down on your knees...

About Me

I'm a fan from Germany and i want to do my best to support this great band with this page. So here's a small biography:
The Story of Sister begins a few years back in time with classmates Cari and Dani jamming together and thinking of forming a band. It went on for some years but they never seemed to find what they really wanted. They went from band to band but it was always something that didn't work.
The summer of 2005 they formed Ztikky Sister with Mr. Kaxi on guitar and leadsinger Al.
Then something happened, which none of us remember... But somehow Mr. Kaxi went off the band and Al started playing bass.
Al, Dani and Cari formed Sister. All we needed now was the leadsinger.
The winter between 05/06 outside a concert arena we met a crazy, Vince Neil-lookin' guy called Jamie at a concert. We told him that we were looking for a singer and asked him to come and play with us. But by then Jamie had another band called Sweezy Angel. So for some weeks Sister and Sweezy Angel both wanted Jamie as leadsinger. But then after some rehearsals and a lot of parties Jamie took the right decision.
So in early 2006 Dani and Cari had finally found the members they looked for, Sister.
After a few gigs in their hometown Jönköping they decided to record their first 3-track demo called "Shock Rock Party Pop" in Tranås. It included the songs "Down on your knees", "Turn on the night" and "Can't get enough". With this demo they wanted to bring back the happy music that makes you wanna party and they succeed.
With the releasing of their first demo they wanted to come out and play as much as possible all over Sweden and they did it. This almost became a little "tour" with gigs booked every weekend.
So after this "tour" Sister wanted to record their new songs "Ain't going home", "Faster", "Broken Dreams". In Martin Sweet's and Peter London's studio they produced a way much better demo than the first one with a heavier sound which made the fans realized that Sister had grown as band and they don't want anything else make Sister a big name!
In May/june 2007, Al left the band and band went through a hard time together and everyhing felt bad for a while. But the thinking of giving up never crossed the leftstanding members minds and after a little while, a new band member, Rikki, was presented as the new bass player of Sister! So what's coming next? Time will tell...
