dj jaala........official dj of the Ultra Vixens!

At the age of 3, Jaala discovered her love of disco thanks her family! As a child, she was taken to her uncle's disco afterhours by her mom to visit and hang out. After repeated attempts to try and get Jaala out of the afterhours (she had music, disco balls, dancing people, and shirley temples-who wants to go home?!), her mom broke down and bought her daughter a winnie the pooh record player and a large stack of records. Many years later, Jaala still loves her music, disco balls, and dancing people and brings it to the dancefloor whens she lays down her signature sets chock full of funky house, electro, hard beats and breaks! Since stepping up to the decks in 1995, she has made numerous appearances on MTV and played along side with some of the best dj's and producers in the world as well as being the first female house dj in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Now currently living in Vancouver, British Columbia, you can catch her playing gigs on boats (being a pirate dj!) and in clubs or one of her resident nights!(Has played with or opened for: Sandra Collins, Frankie Knuckles, Frankie Bones, Bad Boy Bill, Mathew Good on MTV, Donald Glaude, and many others that would verge on profuse and irritating name dropping.........will elaborate at a later date! xoj)
