Sven Ratzke

GLAMOUR CABARET-----------Sven Ratzke, (30 years) half Dutch, half German, lives in Amsterdam and Berlin and is one of a kind in his genre. His mix of Berlin cabaret of the ’20 combined with his bizarre improvisation talent and pop style takes his audience to higher atmospheres. Sold out shows in Holland and Germany prove that he is a rising star in cabaret world. He creates glamorous nightclubs everywhere he performs, with his great energetic jazzy musicians, he transforms famous pop songs from Kurt Weill to Prince and puts them in a completely new light. But also his own songs, like ’Crazy Cobra Cora’ or ’Bridget the midget’ about strange creatures of nightlife can be experienced as little movies and tell theatrical tales. Besides his solo shows he produces special productions with guest stars. In 2007 he produced a show where he played together with the Tiger Lillies in Holland and invited a lot of German cabaret stars to Amsterdam for his ’German Nights Series’ He also invited some "La Clique" artists to perform in special editions of his own show. In the season of 2008 he will play in a Dutch/Belgium Production of the musical "Cabaret" in the role of the conferencier.
