Reigning Roses Productions was created as a vehicle toamplify and market the voices of the great independent musicians and artists on the Toronto scene. As a management, promotions and music production project, Reigning Roses places an emphasis on supporting the artists on its roster. Reigning Roses Productions' mission is to be a voice generating hype for the artists it supports. From management and publicity to booking the artists on the business side of things, to engineering, editing and production on the musical end (check out Mike Hawker 's and Erika Werry 's sites for some examples of my work), Reigning Roses Productions is here to give a helping hand to artists who have traditionally marketed themselves throughout their careers. A little help can sometimes go a long way!
Reigning Roses Productions is a project by Ari Dasgupta . Ari has
performed as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist in practically every genre of popular music, jazz, classical and world music. He went from busking in front of the Skydome to performing on the great Toronto stages of Massey Hall and Roy Thompson Hall. His musical travels began at Expo 86 in Vancouver and led to the grand cathedrals of Austria and Germany. Ari has a world of experience on stage and in studios. On the business end, he was first labeled as a natural impresario while he was busy booking shows for various bands while in high school. Since then, Ari has informally managed and promoted several of his friends and his own projects.
In the late 90's, Ari took a hiatus from the music industry to pursue another one of his interests. He returned to the world of academia to study aerospace engineering, specializing in spacecraft design. Ari's not building spaceships
right now, but he is busy with designing aircraft training simulators! However, he couldn't escape his true love for too long. Music is back in Ari's life. Though his performances are now a rarity (they still do happen though, so keep your eyes and ears open!), he is an avid fan and is continually making friends within the incredibly talented Toronto music scene. Ari is now hoping to share his love of the arts and the artists who inspire him through the endeavours of Reigning Roses Productions.
