WALKIN’ THE GOD DAMN PLANK SINCE 2006!
Die Band enstand Mitte des Jahres 2006 aus den Formationen "Broken Jaws" und "Anchors Up" (beide RGBG) um den Drummer Sebastian "Beppo" May und den Bassisten Philipp Hofmeister, die sich auch nach kleineren Rückschlägen nicht den Wind aus den Segeln nehmen ließen und man holte die zwei Gitarristen Flo und Ben mit an Deck, wobei man hier schnell feststellte, dass kein Fehler unterlaufen war! Um die Mannschaft zu vervollständigen holte man Straubings PunkRock-Lichtgestalt „Fiz“ auch noch ins Boot (he knows what it means to walk the plank - son) um auch für den Sound den richtigen Shouter zu haben!
Den Kurs, den es zu halten gilt, war und ist klar - erdiger Streetpunk mit viel Melodie und ab und zu einem ordentlichen Schuss Hardcore, der sich durchaus auch mal einen Ritt auf des Säbels Klinge mit dem guten alten Rock..n..Roll erlaubt! Die Band bezieht ihre Einflüsse sowohl von Punkrock aus früheren Tagen (z.B. Cockney Rejects, Cock Sparrer, Ramones...) also auch von Bands wie den U.S. Bombs, The Forgotten, Lars Frederiksen and his Bastards, Dropkick Murphys...um nur einige zu erwähnen!
Midyear 2006 the Band was founded by the drummer Sebastian "Beppo" May and the bassist Philipp Hofmeister, members of the bands “Broken Jaws” and “Anchors Up” (both Regensburg), who didn’t get discouraged by minor throwbacks. They got the two guitarists Florian Richter and Benjamin Ertl on board, which quickly turned out to be the right thing to do. In order to complete the crew and to have the proper shouter for the target sound “Fiz”, a punk rock icon from Straubing (he knows what it means to walk the plank - son), also joined the band.
The direction that should be kept, was and still is earthy/ down-to-earth, melodic streetpunk with a fair lacing of hardcore, that is tightly embraced by good old rock’n’roll! The band draws its influences from early day punk rock (Cockney Rejects, Cock Sparrer, Ramones...) as well as from bands like U.S. Bombs, The Forgotten, Lars Frederiksen and his Bastards, Dropkick Murphys...only to mention a few of them!
