The Wheeliebar sound can be described as heavy metal with a very melodic twist. While the music is definitely of a heavier edge, it never strays too far as to not be radio friendly. The style appeals to a broad range of people which is why Wheeliebar has had so much success in the short period of time they have been together. Some of the band's influences are cited as Anthrax, Kiss, Run DMC, Black Sabbath, Husker Du, Devo, Living Colour, early Red Hot Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys and Faith No More. In June, 2002, the band released it's first full-length CD, "High Volume Therapeutic". The CD has now sold thousands of copies worldwide. The second release, "Johnston's Theory" is available now online. The band hopes to follow up its debut CD with the same success on the new one by using many of the same marketing stradegies including touring nationwide, radio promotion, etc.
