THE VERY STRANGE FILMS OF REVEREND MATTY...

Reverend Matty began his professional film career in 1999 as Videographer on Bryan Singer's X-Men. Over the next several years, Matt was mentored by such directors as Bryan, Alex Proyas (The Crow, Dark City, I Robot) and David R Ellis (Snakes on a Plane). Additionally, Matt has had the rare opportunity to work for screen legends Harrison Ford and Al Pacino. During this time, Matt and his brother Mike have made numerous DV shorts that have become known as "THE ONE MINUTE MOVIES". All are made for ZERO DOLLARS, with a home video camera using a very simple guideline: NO BUDGET, NO SCRIPT, NO SHOT LIST. Over the last year, these strange curiosities have gained a surprisingly strong following on MySpace.com. In summer 2006, Director Mark Helfrich licenced seven of Matt's films for the Dane Cook feature "Good Luck Chuck". Currently, Matty is in development on his first feature film, a hilarious behind the scenes Mockumentary of a doomed film production entitled EPIC: The Making of the Sir Arthur P Laymond Story. I TOUCH MY KARAOKE
Recently, Reverend Matty shot 7 of his trademark shorts to be included in this summer's Dane Cook comedy from Lionsgate, GOOD LUCK CHUCK!
One of the very first assignments was to create a KARAOKE VIDEO for the Divinyls "I TOUCH MYSELF". Easy enough. But to take it to REVERENDMATTYVILLE, we decided that it would be hilarious to take the lyrics WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too literally and have it performed by none other than The Great Maw.
The result is not only hilarious...but entirely disturbing and just plain wrong. Half the crew very near peed themselves during filming while the other half was put off their food for close to a week. Mission accomplished!

GAUCHE:
One night, while The Rev and Maw imbibed the great barley beverage, the bad cook at the local bad bar proclaimed some exciting news. His favourite Swedish Death Metal band just got a keyboard player! I had no idea that there even was such a thing let alone it being made EVEN BETTER by a keyboard! Thus The Great Maw took it upon himself to write his very own Swedish Death Metal tune. One cannot have a rock tune without a rock video these days, so I recut the video of an ACTUAL SWEDISH DEATH METAL BAND to fit the creation of my brother. This is the result...
