B-Dub is a Dub project born from the encounter of two reggae-dub italian groups: Dubital and BombaBomba
Matteo Magni begins playing records in 1990, in the middle of the “House†age (Todd Terry, Frankie Knuckles, Lil Louis, DJ International, Detroittechno…), then he discovers the world of the first 90's Hip Hop and begins to play Public Enemy, LL Cool J, Beastie Boys, Run Dmc, NWA… Finally heenter the reggae-dancehall universe that definitively removes him from the discos and he begins producing his dub stuff, armed with a mixer, a delay, adrum machine and a friend (Raffaele Ferro, the other half of Dubital) at the bass/voice.
With Dubital he produces to two LP (“Lite†- 1997 and “Conversations†- 2002) with great collaborations like Mad Professor andZion Train; some Dub compilations (“The Dub Lab†- 2000/Suitable ..2 - The Dub Adventurers - 2001/“Sushi Dub†- 2002).
In 2002 Dubital participates with a track (“The Styleâ€) to “the Roots of Dub Funk vol.2†(Tanty Records - UK), with artists like Alpha & Omega, Vibronics, The Interruptor and others.
With Dubital he plays several live shows across all Italy, in Croazia, Slovenia, France.
In 2004 he start working with the historical italian reggae group "Bomba Bomba", turning their sound in something more deep and dubby, and he works atthe production of the "Bomba libera tutti" album, once again the Mad Professor is involved in the project.
He keep playing live shows at the mixing desk with Bomba Bomba, Jaka and Dubwise Gang, live dubbing and adding something more to these great dub-reggaeshows.
Mark One comes from BombaBomba , formed in 1991, and considered bythe posse movement among the precursors of Italian Reggae Dub Dance Hall.
The band, professing devotion to reggae music, made their first album in 1991, for the Roman label "X RECORDS." The album received public acclaim bythe specialised press and BombaBomba won the first music-press prize.
BombaBomba later founded the label Cucca & Racha to produce a compilation of Tuscany's reggae groups (No Problem vol.1).
In 2004 BombaBomba released "Bomba Libera Tutti!", and in 2005 the first extract "Vieni Via Con Me", mixed by the English producer and dub geniusMad Professor.
Bomba Bomba was on stage again as part of the "Metarock 2005" during the "Crazy Dub Night" alongside the biggest names of the international dub scene(Dennis Bowell and Adrian Sherwood) and under the direction of the spectacularly fit Mad Professor on the mixing desk.
