Nikitta Angus is the 18 year old from Scotland with a big heart and a big voice.
She auditioned for the third series of the X Factor in Early 2006, singing 'Dimming Of The Day' by Bonnie Rait, a song which she dedicated to her mum Linda, who sadly passed away in 2005.
Nikitta's stunning rendition of 'Dimming Of The Day' melted the hearts of all three judges, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, and even Mr Nasty. Simon Cowell, who told Nikitta "The song was beautiful, you're voice is great, and you're mum would be very proud of you." Thus with three yes's, Nikitta sailed through to bootcamp where she was placed into the 16-24s Catagory, and mentored by Simon Cowell.
On the first day of her bootcamp, Nikitta covered 'Believer' by Christina Milian, and although she was put through, Simon confessed to her that "she was great but she chose the wrong song.' In the second stages of the bootcamp, Nikitta sang 'Hero' by Mariah Carey which gained her a place at Simon Cowell's Miami Mansion, where Nikitta has said "makes the whole experience feel even wierder, it's hard not being able to phone mum and tell her how beautiful Miami is."
At the final 7 stages of the competition Nikitta was assigned the songs 'It's Too Late' by Carol King and 'Angels' by Sarah McGloughlain which she covered beautifully, portraying every inch of emotion and truly touching the hearts of viewers.
Nikitta has performed at the LIVE! Xfactor stages every Saturday night and has never been in the bottom 2. The live stages commenced with a mowtown themed show in which Nikitta impressed the judges and the audience with her rendition of Heaven must have sent you.
In the second week Nikitta performed 'Bring it on home' at the Rod Stewart themed show and blew the audience away.
In Big Band week Nikitta sang 'Sway' by Dean Martin and although Louis was once again unsure of the song choice, it was still performed with excellence, keeping her out of the bottom 3 in the double eviction twist.
Then finally last week in ABBA week, Nikitta performed Dancing Queen after deciding that Simon's choice of Knowing Me Knowing You wasn't for her and she was saved by her loyal fans.
