I was born and raised in the projects of Milwaukee and have been into music ever since I was a child. My mother tells me I spent most of my early years sitting on the kitchen floor with a spoon in each hand surrounded by all her pots and pans. Raised by a working single mother – and with a father that didn’t show his face much – I looked for guidance from my older brother. He was the one who really brought me hands on into the music business teaching me to write, play instruments and letting me spend time with him in the studio. The best birthday present I ever got was an old drum machine from my brother when I was 14. I would stay up all night creating beats - it was my escape from the harsh reality of my life - and it would set the tone for what I wanted to do, which is create and produce music. The sudden death of my brother in 2001 spurred me to take my passion for music to greater heights.
In 2004, I founded Black House Productions, a hip-hop/rap production company/record label that is based in Milwaukee WI. When not working my two other jobs, I make beats, write, produce and promote the music for our group The Black House Gang.
