Hombre is one man(most of the time) - Greg Jinks. After spending 15 or so years in & out of bands as lead guitarist & songwriter, i decided to have a go at doing everything myself. In summer 2006 I started recording my first album - Tales of a guitar slinger - this is a very acoustic effort & influenced by the recent aquisition of a new Ozark acoustic guitar - for a first solo effort i was pleased. I then rushed the 2nd album "LA Detective" which is more upbeat but stylized around 70's cop shows. Desert Phantom the 3rd album is more getting back to my roots as a lead guitarist, the album also features 2 of my fav songs at that point - Dali calls & contortion.................................................. ............................................................ ............................................................ .......................................MAY 2008 - the 4th album - "The Deadlights" is nearing completion & will be available to download in full from my 2 myspace profiles once completed. So far there are 11 songs recorded with 2 more to record & mix(they're written tho) - this album is the most "ME" of the lot - a lot rockier & much darker then previous efforts - I have taken the same time to record this album as i did to record the other 3 put together - i think it shows. I have also been attempting to play more piano/keys - with a small degree of success. Hopefully i might eventually get on the road & gig this album. The other contributors to my music are - Nino - my brother(shit hot drummer) - will play drums if i ever get going live - Jason - other guitar - responsible for writing No escape off the 3rd album & co-writing fondue with me years ago, also plays guitar & wrote the body on "Mia's song" off the new album, i will be helping Jason create his own album in the forthcoming months - Jas is my main writing buddy, we have a good connection. Steve - a great bass player & great friend(had a jam with him & Nino last week - it was awesome - hopefully we can get something together). Dom - my other brother - brilliant percussionist(& Drummer) - Benny - Trumpet - features on 2nd album & will feature on future hombre productions.
