About Me

Ruben "Billionaire" DeJesus' career started as an intern for hip hop video pioneer, Ron Alexander's cable show entitled, “Rappers around the World”, which was hosted by legendary Kool DJ Red Alert. The show inspired Ruben to enroll at the Center for the Media Arts (C.M.A.) in New York City. He majored in music business and in music engineering. at C.M.A., Ruben met legendary entertainment attorney, M. William Krasilovsky author of "This Business of Music". Ruben consequently hired him and formed a music production company. He then started perfecting his craft as an emcee, going by the name “Boss". He opened for rap cohorts Chuck D & Leaders of the New School. He expanded and formed a rap group called Killer Instinct Mob (K.I.M.) Killer Instinct Mob was comprised of lyrical street thugs who's reputation quickly spread throughout the industry, even Big Kap thought they were crazy. They performed with axe handles, 2x4's, and drunk 40oz's on stage; promoters feared them. They opened up for the Infamous "Mobb Deep" at a New York City nightclub "The Muse" in the mischievous style they were known for. Overtime, members got incarcerated. One even got wounded in a shootout, ultimately the group disbanded.Boss took the break up real hard and landed in a serious state of depression. His despair grew into a dark & eerie roadblock. Boss now faced personal drama within his own life. His relationship with his fiancée became a violent and disturbing one. He walked away, leaving her and their eleven year old child behind. He felt helpless, weary and ashamed. He grew tired of constantly failing. He even wrestled with grim thoughts of suicide, but through these darkest moments that’s when his family’s love shined the most. They invited him to an Easter service at Metro Ministries, a local church in Bushwick Brooklyn. Boss witness a live illustration of the crucifixion of Christ. Boss soon realized that the most precious gift of all was God’s love. So with an immense amount of tears, he surrendered and gave his life to Jesus.Boss felt like a new man and was convinced he got a second chance at life. He quickly grew in the word of God, and founded “Godmafia”, a rap movement. He swiftly hit the scene, performing/ministering at various clubs and colleges. Boss networked throughout the industry and soon landed a position as a producer for an online hip hop radio show on 88HipHop.com entitled “The Sound of Gospel Hip Hop”.
