BIO
You should already know who this beauty is. But those of you who don't know pull up a chair and read on. Summer B hails from the birthplace of Hip Hop, The Bronx, THAT'S RIGHT! With a B.A in Mass Communications and a background in radio and television she is well on her way. She fell in love with entertainment from a very early age attending a performing arts elementary school in Mount. Vernon. Ms. Summer studied dance in the form of Tap and Jazz and began performing in school plays and concerts very soon after. She then formed a dance group with neighborhood friends called "UPTOWN FLAVA" who later on competed and won many talent shows.
She could never stand silence so she always had her radio on listening to all the current Hip Hop and R&B that was played on none other than HOT 97. "I remember listening to Funkmaster Flex every Saturday night before heading to the Skate Key when it was on Allerton Ave" she states. That's when her passion for radio began. When Summer B got to college she made sure to solidify herself a spot on the Lehman College WHLC Radio Station programming and producing her own show "Turning Up the Heat with Summer". Through her college years she gained reputable internships with Fuse TV, Radio Disney AM 1560, and New York's Official #1 Station for Hip Hop and R&B ...HOT 97!!!!! At HOT 97 she learned about radio promotion from coordinating and executing major events such as Summer Jam, Full Frontal Fashion, On Tha Reggae Tip, annual parades such as the African American Day Parade and the Puerto Rican Day Parade, among the infamous VIP Lounges with many different artists. This woman is on the move to great things! Summer B also held down the spot as Field Reporter for the Emmis NY Envision Newsletter covering major events that took place with 98.7 KISS FM, HOT 97, and CD 101.9. She has branded herself as Tha Dishing Diva so that the producer for MNN's "Tha Block Party" (channel 56 in Manhattan) contacted her to dish the dirt in her entertainment heat on their weekly show.
This multifaceted woman is also working as a consultant for Miss Mesofly, a clothing line that will feature urban wear as well as couture. "Fashion has always been a love of mine" she confesses.
