About Me

Fresh off of a US/Canadian Tour opening for Mike Doughty, The Panderers have just released their debut EP entitled "Hotshot's Boy" (Snack Bar 2008 - a label created by Mike Doughty). This EP, produced by Pete and Dave (Dave Wilder and Pete McNeal), came together on the deep belief in a trove of songs authored by Scott Wynn, a singer/songwriter out of nowhere. Scott's roots stem from deep east Kentucky coal country where his father and uncles worked coal as did their father before them. Scott is the first of his family not to work coal and to attend college. Through his musical styles he attempts to meld both his e morhumble influences with the enlightenment of the "now" (Bill Monroe meets Electric Six or something like that). Scott borrows much from the baseness and humility of coal country, but you have to remember that coal can also be fire. So, the music pretty much reflects that....very base, bare, rootsy...and/or pure fire.
Contributing to the current recordings were well-known and established artisans listed here in no particular order, such as: Dave Wilder (Macy Gray, Liz Phair), Pete McNeal (Cake, Jem, Mike Doughty's Band, Inara George, Breakestra). Rami Jaffee (Wallflowers/Foo Fighters), Andrew "Scrap" Livingston (Mike Doughty's Band), John Kirby (Mike Doughty's Band) and Marshall Thompson (Mother Jones, The Mars Hall).

Sounds Like: Ambitious ditties that bang. Brand new old songs that bang. One very satisfying vibe. It also sounds like this very cool and new Robert Keeley Electronics compressor pedal that is just such a sonic stabilizer for me of late with my hollowbody especially. It really dressed my guitar sound. Could not be more happy. I like to shout out to what's good. A link to their site below where they have an abundance of boutique level product/pedals. If you like special stuff, then enjoy.

Also playing with a recently acquired L.R. Baggs acoustic guitar pickup and DI box. The equipment has been highly-reliable and pritine in sound quality. The Panderers are very grateful for such great product.
