Born in Panama.
I started playing music at the age of nine. My first instrument was coronet. I had no teacher, had no idea what i was doing. Got thrown out of the Salvation Army Band. I had just gotten the trumpet. Ok maybe i was overly optimistic. Restarted at the age of 13 on classical guitar. My father gave me lessons on that. Those were some intense Sundays. I loved guitar. Now i play bass. Studied with Ken Smith (he played them before he built them), Lou Norton, Reggie Workman. Anthony Jackson put it all together for me. He recommended a couple of classical bass books. Got me up and down the finger board better. Bob Cranshaw taught me to lock it down and hold it in place.Got my first Mac. I started losing chops immediately. It was so much fun. But between softwares and trying to figure out what was missing in the manuals, something had to give. 5 Macs tons of music software upgrades. later, production getting better, chops are still questionable. It's a balancing game.The stuff i write, like Fluta Belu. I wrote it with flute in mind the original version had a sample flute sound. I think my father (Mauricio Smith) brought it to life.
