Band Members: J. Armen has been playing guitar with me for almost three years, in which time we've gone through a LOT of drummers, at least three keyboardists and a couple of bassists.Ariel De La Portilla has been a part of the Sirena Sol band and when he's in town, Darin Brown has graced us with his keyboard talents.Now that I'm relocating to LA, I may not have as much opportunity to play with some of the musicians I've gotten to know, but they're great and it's always a privilege to share a stage with them.Whenever we're in the same city, I'll probably still enlist these guys to play with me!
Influences: The people who have influenced me are not necessarily the people I sound like...Prince, Culture Club, Stevie Wonder, Sam Cooke, Madonna, Sarah MacLachlan and lots of others.I'm influenced by amazing lyrics, solid melodies, innovative production values and passion-filled performances.
Sounds Like: Fiona Apple meets Christina Aguilera: deep lyrics and strong, soulful vocals. Some songs are happier than others but they're all pretty catchy.
