My name is Terry. I live in Harrisburg Oregon, but was born and raised in Brownsville. I went to and graduated from the Central Linn School District. I've only been employed by 5 companies since I finished High School, and only 2 in the last 14 years. And I'd been working steadily for the last 19 1/2. For the last year, I've been playing music for a living, and it's great! I am now attending College at LCC, majoring in music. Maintaining a 3.92 GPA, I might add. Here is some more info about me....
I LOVE, LIVE & BREATH MUSIC!!! WITHOUT IT, I WOULD NOT SURVIVE!!!
A few of my favorite bands right now are Mastodon , Middian , Brutal Truth and Grieving Sun . A few of my all-time favorite bands are Slayer , Napalm Death , Frank Zappa and Nirvana
I play in a bunch of bands right now, including The Bone Jars , Domesticide , 19 Limbs and Bleach . I am recently put together a new band, called Perpetual Conversion , to fill the V.O.I.D. that was left by the demise of my previous band, Sullen . .
All my previous and present efforts are listed to your right.
I have an amazingly incredible daughter, who means everything to me in the world! She kicks ass in sports, especially basketball & volleyball. She sings like an angel, and she gets straight A's in school 99% of the time. She brings great joy into my life! She's Awesome. Period! Exclamation point!
I have a wonderful girlfriend that I love VERY MUCH! She is the ultimate supporter of me and everything I do and want. She's my neighbor now! She's the BEST
Music is my 1st and true love! I'm addicted to it! That's probably why I play in like 50 bands. At this point, I'm making an attempt to rid myself of physical labor by playing music, and perhaps, getting a teaching gig, on the side
Here's a bit about my musical upbringing....
I started taking piano lessons when I was 3 years old. Special thanks to my Grandma Dorothy for paying for the lessons and taking me to and fro.
I continued that until I was 11, when I found an electric guitar, and decided the piano wasn't LOUD enough
When I was 7, I performed with local rock favorites, Wings Of Freedom, at the Pioneer Picnic Rock Dance. I played a Hammond B-3 organ and sang. I just remember there being alot of people there. I sang Pinball Wizard, by the Who, and Worse Comes to Worse, by Billy Joel. Good Times
I performed in numerous local talent shows
I played the alto saxophone from 5th-10th grade in the concert band and Jazz band
I sang in Choir and was in Swing Choir from 9th-12th grade. Actually did Broadway type stuff
In 10th grade, we did Ratt and the Scorpions for the air-rock competition
For my 15th birthday, my parents got me a rocker package, consisting of a guitar, a bass, an amp and a distortion pedal. I was hooked. I started playing and jamming with drummers from then on, but didn't actually join a band til 1990
The rest of my musical history is listed below...
I don't know what else to write here yet, so I'll wait to write more later...

My Interests

Music Music Music Music...and of course my family and friends!

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who wants to help me help them by helping me help myself...does that make sense?
Ummmm...I'd like to meet alot of people who have aready passed on. To numerous to mention...But I have plenty of so-called "man crushes", that I wouldn't mind meeting. Like Jack Black(and of course K.G.), Kevin Sharp, Mike Patton, Brian Slagel, Mark "Barney" Greenway, Dave Grohl, Josh Homme, Nick Oliveri...I can't think of anymore right now, but if I do, I'll let you know.

Music:

My Influences are too numerous to mention here, in their entirety. So this'll be the condensed version. I have a great love for music in most ALL forms. So, instead of listing all the kinds of music I like, I'll list the few that I DON'T like. Yes, there is some music that I do not like to listen to. The main offender is Country. Especially that contemporary Country crap. I can handle some old-school, outlaw country, in moderation. Other than that, the only kind of music I really dislike is Creed.

Here's a list of all the bands and/or musicians, I've ever played with:

Wings Of Freedom(1976)

Violent Order Of Idiotic Dudes/Victims Of Internal Decay(1990-1996)

If-n-When(1991)

Taylor Made(1991-1992)

PHWSE(1991)

The Bone Jars(1992-present)

Reltne(1992)

Kittens & Hubcaps(1992-1993)

The Heteros(1994-1995)

Angst Ridden(1995-1996)

The Quintons(1997)

Sullen(1997-2006)

Bleach(2000-present)

Domesticide(2003-present)

Piker(2003)

Red Star Memorial(2004)

19 Limbs(2005-present)

Perpetual Conversion(2007-present)

I was thinking about adding a list of my old and new musical cohorts, that I either have jammed with over the years, or played in bands with, or maybe both. But that list would take some research. But I still just might do it! So stay tuned for that!
